Heartland Center Mission Statement

In response to the Good News of Jesus Christ, Heartland Presbyterian Center provides hospitality and programming in a natural setting for individuals, families, churches, and the community.

Founded in 1958, Heartland Presbyterian Center is a mission of the Presbyteries of Heartland and Northern Kansas, Synod of Mid-America, Presbyterian Church (USA).

Our Retreat lodges offer simple but complete facilities in a natural setting. Heartland Center is just twenty minutes from downtown Kansas City and less than 15 minutes from Kansas City International Airport and several shopping and entertainment districts. For a slower pace, the historic communities of Parkville and Weston are nearby.

The Summer Camp program at Heartland Center has grown to be one of the largest summer Christian summer camps in the nation. Children and youth grow in their faith as they experience God's love through caring counselors and new friends in this safe and nurturing environment. All kids, regardless of denomination, are welcome to this wonderful program . Our Day Camp program has been in operation for three years, and has grown steadily each year.

Heartland Center also sponsors many programs for Adults. Whether your interest lies in new knowledge, the arts, or simple rest and relaxation, Heartland Center provides shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship for the children of God. Are You Ready?
